Innserve installs Masternaut’s Fleestar-Online in 250 service vans to optimise operational management
Masternaut, the UK’s leading online Telematics Service Provider, will implement its Masternaut vehicle tracking and management solution into the service and maintenance fleet of Innserve, which supplies and maintains drink dispense systems for more than half of the UK’s licensed premises. Innserve, whose customers include Carlsberg, Heineken UK and Greene King, will install the solution in 250 of its service vans to optimise performance against time-critical SLAs as well as increase the safety of its technicians. Innserve maintains 70,000 establishments across the UK and makes in excess of 300,000 responsive maintenance visits per year.
Innserve will use Masternaut as part of an integrated fleet management approach that also uses Toughbooks to control and monitor job distribution. The two systems will combine to boost productivity through visibility of both its technicians’ locations and job progression, enabling dynamic scheduling. In addition to performance, Innserve will use Masternaut to strengthen lone-worker support and security in line with its Duty of Care responsibilities.
“We decided to order Masternaut because it is very intuitive and easy to use for our control centre staff – who have complex technician management responsibilities,” commented Richard Japes, Senior Operations and Development Manager, Innserve. “The vast majority of our jobs are reactive, which means we have a ticking clock of either four, 24 or 72 hours for every task and clear visibility is critical.
“As well as the solution itself, we were also impressed with the partnership approach that Masternaut brought to the table. It has been flexible and tailored what we’re deploying to address our individual needs. One example of this is that our deployment of Masternaut will include a privacy button, so that we can’t see where the vehicles are when they’re being used privately, but we can still validate private mileage,” Richard Japes continued.
Steve Towe, Managing Director- Europe, Masternaut, added: “Companies like Innserve see the value of telematics not just as a business critical tool, but also as a means to provide an effective level of safety and security for their employees. The detailed reporting and visibility that Masternaut provides can be extremely valuable as part of a wider Duty of Care strategy, as well as delivering lasting operational and business-critical improvements.”
